How profile views are counted and displayed.
How Views Are Counted
Each unique visitor to your profile is counted once per browser session using an anonymous key stored in localStorage. The count shown is unique visitors, not total page loads.
- The view count updates in real time as new visitors arrive.
- It is displayed on your profile card — bottom-left in Showcase mode, top-right in standard mode.
- The same visitor refreshing the page does not add extra views.

Bot traffic and crawlers are not filtered — very high counts may include automated visits.
Leaderboard
Your view count is used to rank your profile on the public leaderboard at extort.bio/leaderboard. Rankings update every 60 seconds.
